Robert Murphy

About Bob:

Robert P. Murphy has a PhD in economics from New York University. He has held teaching and research positions at Hillsdale College and Texas Tech University. He is currently Chief Economist for infineo, a financial tech company putting life insurance and other assets on the blockchain. He is also Senior Fellow with the Mises Institute, which is dedicated to promoting the legacy of the Austrian School of economics.

Murphy is the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles focusing on monetary , capital, and business cycle theory. He has also written many economics books for the layperson, including The Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism and the student textbook, Lessons for the Young Economist (here’s a free pdf).

He hosts the Human Action podcast for the Mises Institute, and his own podcast, The Bob Murphy Show.
