Mike was born in Lansing, Michigan, and escaped to Grand Rapids, Michigan, at a young age. Before joining the Navy for six years to be an Arabic Linguist, he was a middle and high school teacher. After serving on the USS Florida (a submarine) and doing a tour in Iraq serving with the Navy SEALs (Mike is NOT a SEAL, just helped them do their job), he came back to be a high school teacher. While teaching, Mike picked up his law degree, where he found that teaching law to teenagers is where he belongs.
Now Mike runs his business, Law School for Teens, where he uses the law to teach kids to think.
