As founder and director of BE Education, Brandy Dahlen has taught history, literature, and writing for the past 2 decades. She holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Cambridge, and has experience teaching students of all ages.
Brandy is passionate about teaching students to really explore history through primary documents and visual sources and uses a discussion-based, inquiry-led format to help students explore their own ideas about history, literature, and writing, as well as really learn the practical aspects of doing history and analysis rather than simply memorizing facts. She is trained in research methods and loves helping students explore research and writing skills to present their ideas.
Brandy is not only an enthusiastic teacher, but also homeschooling mom of 10 and an avid lover of world culture and travel, having lived in the US, the UK, and South Korea. Her current professional activities include managing an educational consulting and tutoring business, teaching online classes, developing curriculum for courses, and managing native teachers in online classes teaching Korean language.
